Joseph “Joe” Damrich was born and raised in Mobile, Alabama where he attended St. Ignatius Catholic School and McGill-Toolen Catholic High School. He first attended college at the University of Alabama before dropping out to pursue a career in the maritime sandblasting and painting industry. For several years, Joe worked for Damrich Coatings, Inc. and PPG Protective and Marine Coatings as a project manager and coating inspector. This time in the industry included projects all over the Southeast United States and the Caribbean as well as certification as a NACE Level II Coating Inspector all by the age of 20.
Joe decided to return to school and graduated from the University of South Alabama. He attended law school at Loyola University of New Orleans College of Law where he was Chief of Staff, a member and coach of the Trial Advocacy National Team winning the Louisiana State Bar Trial Competition and competing in several others. While at Loyola Joe was also a member of the Maritime Law Journal and inducted into the Order of Barristers, a highly selective national honor society for demonstrating exceptional skill in trial advocacy.
After graduating from Loyola Joe worked as an associate attorney for Edward J. Womac, Jr. & Associates in New Orleans, Louisiana handling hundreds of car accidents, slip and falls and other types of personal injury cases for over 2 years.
Joe decided to return to Mobile and worked as an Assistant District Attorney for the Mobile County District Attorney’s Office for 2 years. As an ADA, Joe handled thousands of criminal cases, including jury trials for Murder, Rape, Robbery, Kidnapping, Assault, Chemical Endangerment of a Child, DUI, Domestic Violence and Drug Trafficking in addition to hundreds of hearings and bench trials.
Going back to his time in law school, Joe always wanted to open up his own law firm to represent those who have been wronged, injured or charged with a crime. Joe partnered with David Allen to bring their combined skills and experience to form the formidable team of Damrich & Allen who always fight for the best results for their clients, no matter how big or small the case.
