Public Intoxication

In Alabama, a person commits the crime of public intoxication if he appears in a public place under the influence of alcohol, narcotics or other drug to the degree that he endangers himself or another person or property, or by boisterous and offensive conduct annoys another person in his vicinity. Although Public Intoxication is only a violation in Alabama, law enforcement may arrest you and take you to jail for this offense. If found guilty, a judge may sentence you to jail time, fines, or community service. If you or a loved one has been arrested for Public Intoxication, call (251) 444-1444 immediately. Your freedom may depend on it.
